About Me and My Therapeutic Approach

Therapeutic Perspective

Finding the right fit is an essential component to therapy! My therapeutic approach is relational, collaborative and strengths based. I believe that you are the expert on your lived experiences and come into the therapeutic space with existing wisdom. Through developing trust, in our partnership we will be able to explore your relationship to yourself, others, the systems you navigate, and the larger world around us. I have extensive experience supporting folks who are navigating life transitions, Identity, gender and sexuality exploration of self/loved ones, workplace challenges, survivors of trauma, and those who want to understand how to make adaptations in their lives to support their neurodiversity.

My ideologies are grounded in:

  • social justice

  • somatics

  • black feminist theory

  • queer theory

  • ecological systems theory

  • a health at every size model

  • trauma informed practice

I am a queer, gender expansive, white, Jewish, 2nd generation American who lives with chronic illness. I am a parent and a partner. All of these identities inform the way I show up in therapeutic relationships. I am committed to continued growth, learning and unlearning in my examination of the identities I hold that grant me positions of power and privilege.
